On December 1, a winter art project of the magazine «Teatralny Peterburg» - Jazz in «Teatralny Peterburg» -  was launched

A unique project «Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'», which has been arranged by Advertisement and Information Agency «Leningrad» and the magazine «Teatralny Peterburg», includes a musical CD album and a concert.

Jazz is the art astonishing with its versatility. Creative work of any individual jazzman, be it a most famous man of genius, is not able to give a notion about jazz in all its entirety, about the freedom and mutability of this musical movement. This has brought to life the idea of the editorial staff to record an album «Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'», which would be an original palette of musical improvisation due to the city and its theatrical stages. Many of the pieces will be issued for the first time, others will receive a new life in this album.

The album «Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'» will comprise the music by renowned Petersburgers - jazz musicians and composers Sergey Kurekhin, Igor Butman, David Goloshchekin, Vyacheslav Gayvoronskiy, Vladimir Volkov, Grigoriy Voskoboynik, Andrey Kondakov, Igor Dunkul, Aleksandr Zhuravlev - specially written for various theatrical stagings.

This music submerges you into the world of beauty and harmony. The collection «Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'» will be of interest for both the connoisseurs and amateurs to jazz, will adorn any musical collection as emitting the air of festivity.

Another winter souvenir from the organizers is a joint performance of the project participants, which is going to be held in St.Petersburg within the second half of January.

«Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'» is the first action of the magazine «Teatralny Peterburg» that goes beyond the framework of theatre in the narrow sense. The original idea, incorporated as a basis of the project, has drawn a great attention even at the stage of development.

The organizers of the project hope that «Jazz in 'Teatralny Peterburg'» will be appreciated by both music professionals and mass audience. It is just improvisation music and its ever-changing emotional mood that best of all fit into our everyday life with its variability, the necessity to rapidly find the solutions for the problems arising all of a sudden.
